What They Didn't Teach Us in Business School

As I finish my last week at school, I was reminded recently by a guest lecturer of what we haven't studied in the last two years:

1. Sales
   
2. Staff Development
   
3. Hiring and Firing
   

*blink*. I think you could argue that to a degree those skills are learned through the process as opposed to in the classroom, and certainly some of us (myself included) have been exposed to those functions in our working careers. But still - there's definitely room in the curriculum for a few core courses around subjects that important.
